Iorpuu Donates Four Motorbikes to Ayilamo Police
The Executive Secretary of the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (Benue-SEMA), Sir James Aondoakaa Iorpuu, PhD, has fulfilled his promise to the people of Ayilamo in Logo Local Government Area by donating four motorbikes to police officers to strengthen security operations and improve community surveillance.

The motorbikes were formally presented on Thursday, 15 October 2026, on behalf of Sir Iorpuu by the Chief Security Officer of Benue-SEMA, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Dennis Ahar. The presentation was made to police personnel serving in Ayilamo through the community’s priest and traditional leaders.

The donation followed an assessment visit to Ayilamo by the Benue-SEMA Executive Secretary after repeated attacks on the community by armed herdsmen. During the visit, community leaders and other stakeholders appealed for mobility support, explaining that the lack of operational vehicles had hampered police patrols, delayed responses to distress calls, and restricted access to vulnerable communities in remote areas.

In response, Sir Iorpuu pledged to provide motorbikes to enhance the operational effectiveness of security personnel. The fulfilment of the promise underscores his commitment to responsive leadership and practical interventions aimed at protecting vulnerable communities affected by insecurity.

The motorbikes are expected to expand patrol coverage, improve rapid responses to security threats, and strengthen surveillance, particularly in hard-to-reach areas with difficult terrain. The intervention also aligns with the commitment of the Benue State Government, under Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to addressing security challenges and supporting affected communities through practical measures and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
