Terdoo P. Adamu

Philomena Terdoo Adamu is an experienced Information Officer and public relations professional in the Ministry of Information and Orientation.

She has served the Ministry for several years, rising through the ranks from Information Officer II to her current position as Deputy Director of Information. She has extensive experience in press and public relations, information management, media relations, and the coordination of information officers across government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Experience

Philomena Terdoo Adamu began her career as an Information Officer II in the Ministry of Information and Orientation. Through dedication and professional growth, she rose through the ranks and currently serves as a Deputy Director of Information.

Her professional experience covers press and public relations, government information dissemination, media engagement, public communication, and the coordination of information officers across government Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Currently serves as Acting Director, Press and Public Relations, with responsibility for the day-to-day running and administration of the Department of Press and Public Relations.
  • Coordinates the posting and deployment of Information Officers to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.
  • Ensures that Information Officers serve as an effective bridge between MDAs, the media and the general public.
  • Facilitates a smooth and effective two-way flow of information between government institutions, the media and the public.
  • Coordinates Information Officers responsible for managing and promoting the corporate image of various MDAs on behalf of government.
  • Oversees information dissemination and public relations activities aimed at ensuring effective communication between government and the public.
