The Ministry of Information and Orientation has the mandate to manage the image of the government and people of Benue State through the provision of timely and credible information on the programmes and policies of government to the general public.

The Ministry is responsible for information gathering, dissemination, public enlightenment, media relations and communication. It operates through eight directorates covering press and public relations, public enlightenment, ICT, graphic arts, planning, administration, finance and legal services.
